November 8th, 2016 (Election Day).
Today many of us will not happily vote for our hero (or heroine), but instead we will reluctantly vote against our enemy (so we think).
For some, Hillary Clinton and the liberal agenda is the clear enemy, so they will vote against her by voting for him.
For others, Donald Trump is the enemy so they will vote against him, by voting for her.
But as you enter the voting booth today, make sure you know who the real enemy is.
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:11-12 ESV
The real enemy is not the right or left, but Satan himself. And this enemy will not be defeated by voting blue or red, but through loving your neighbor as yourself and telling them the good news of Jesus Christ, and living that good news out yourself.
So today don’t vote against your enemy and all their “demon followers”. Instead vote for someone while praying for the other (or both, really).
And then go home and help make America great, but not by casting your vote and hoping the next President will do that, but through advancing the Kingdom of God with your life, because King Jesus actually can do that.
