I was so encouraged this morning by our visit to Emanuel Baptist in San Judas, Nicaragua. The church was flooded with children (95 to be exact) and the Word of God was preached and the people were encouraged. Pastor Roberto taught from Isaiah 53, and expounded the death of Christ, and what it meant for us. He showed how the death of Christ included 1) rescue, 2) propitiation, 3) reconciliation, and 4) substitution. Pastor Roberto’s message was the most gospel centered message I have ever heard in Nicaragua, and that was very encouraging. Plus, hearing Jimbo teach David how to say propitiation in English, and then David teach Jimbo how to say it in Spanish was priceless. I am very thankful for Hardin’s partnership with this church and look forward to seeing what God will do through our fellowship in the years to come. This church has strong leadership, great vision, new life, and most importantly… the gospel!
